I picked up a camera when I was 17 and never put it down. Shooting for a college yearbook, then a US Army photographer working at Camp David and The Pentagon before getting my degree in Visual Media at Western Michigan University. I opened up my own studio in 1981 and have loved every minute of it.
I have over 30 years of experience shooting for KichenAid, Jenn Air, Whirlpool, GMC Trucks, Fender and more. Having traveled throughout the USA and Europe on assignments I'm at home no matter where I go. Any type of commercial work is rewarding and I love it as much today as I did when I first started shooting.
I'm located in wonderful Saint Joseph, MI, which is in the southwest corner of Michigan overlooking Lake Michigan. From here it's only a 90 minute drive to Chicago and then to any part of the world a plane will take me.
I was in Rome and walked by an appliance store. In the window was a KitchenAid blender package with a photograph I had made. I stopped, looked at it a little longer, and thought - that's pretty cool.
